HERMAN, a hilarious, groundbreaking cartoon featuring hundreds of newspapers around the world, continues despite the tragic death of creator Jim Unger. Unger, who died in June 2012, inherited more than eight thousand herman cartoons and a large volume that continues to emerge today. Unger gave the comic strip to cartoonist David Weisglass and illustrator Raleigh Wood to continue the laughter. Weisglass has been working closely with Unger on HERMAN since 1997 when Weisglass stopped working on its own syndicated comic to help manage its teacher and HERMAN. Unger’s horror-comedy and excellent expression are an industry: millions of book collections have been sold in more than twenty five countries. Weisglass has been working closely with Unger on HERMAN since 1997 when Weisglass stopped working on its own syndicated comic to help manage its teacher and HERMAN.

Slapstick plays like Punch and Judy puppet shows or Tom and Jerry cartoons, for example, may appeal to young children because of their physical character. More advanced comedic tactics, such as satire, on the other hand, necessitate an awareness of its social meaning and context, and hence appeal to a more mature audience
