Everybody who has been in a happy relationship understands that it is made up of charming, wholesome, and, to be honest, amusing everyday things that you encounter with your significant other. It’s the little things that make a love relationship go round. The significance of these things is not lost on the UK-based comic artist Barmy Chip Witch, who captures the everyday humour and wholesomeness of her own relationship.
Many individuals find it relevant and similar to their own personal connections when they look at them, which makes the unique comedy and sweetness of this partnership even more appealing. The artist explores every nook and cranny of her own relationship that she appreciates and conveys it in a humorous, straightforward way, shouts that the secret to being a pair rests in the enjoyment of the little items.
Consider these cartoons to be the artist’s daily diaries with her Latvian lover. According to the comics, their connection is an enviable one. They encourage and aid each other in difficult situations, expose their sensitive and nasty sides, and are honest with each other, but most importantly, they know how to make each other laugh and smile, which in turn makes the reader of the comic grin.

The artist shared some background information as well as a behind-the-scenes look at her relationship with her lover. “We met on a dating app and went to the Natural History Museum for a date.” We broke the ice by making crazy and dark dating jokes, yet it seemed quite natural to chat to each other very soon! We spoke for almost 8 hours into the night the first time we texted online, which was unexpected given how stressful app dating can be! We’ve been dating for approximately 1.5 years. It hasn’t been long, but we both felt very early on that we were just natural, easy, and enjoyable together. We have a lot of fun.The fact that we encourage one other to improve is something I value the most. Since our meeting, I’ve grown more confident and independent, and I’m doing more of the things I’ve always wanted to do (make comics, study Russian, do some professional work, etc.), which he encourages. I also assist and support him with his creative endeavours and ambitions. When I asked him a question, he replied, “You’re one of a kind and my other half.” We get along because you’re as wacky and strange as I am.'”
