After getting unsatisfied with her office job, Esther González began sketching webcomics a year ago. On the other hand, the 31-year-old Spaniard has been fascinated in drawing since he was a youngster.

When I was a youngster, I liked to imitate animals or any other artwork that interested me, especially anything linked to Disney, said the artist to Bored Panda. I discovered Calvin and Hobbes when I was approximately 11 years old and became increasingly interested in comic books. When I first saw these comics, I was in the dentist’s waiting room. I decided to go outdoors because there were so many of them. More pleasurable. I must also confess that I was the one who tore all of these comics from magazines.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I still have them and love them.

The artist continues to create comics because she likes communicating tales and eliciting responses through this medium. “It opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me,” Esther said, adding that she draws inspiration from her everyday life, movies, cartoons, and other comics.

Esther is not one of the numerous artists who have gone digital. I start by drawing on paper with a pencil and then colouring with ratings and markers. After erasing the “pencil,” I “scan” it. I use a tablet and Photoshop to fix any errors and colour issues.

The finest thing is to be able to share your thoughts and words with others and discover what makes them happy.
